A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is amazingly intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll simply need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in your account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same manner you will be able to turn off the feature, if you do not need it anymore. Our system will let you know in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a certain domain name or in case there’s enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never modify or deactivate any feature automatically or without your permission.
